Stampin Up Dragonfly Garden Makes Stunning Nature-Themed Cards

Have you heard of the Stampin Up Dragonfly Garden bundle? If you haven’t heard of it yet, it’s in the new January-June 2021 Mini Catalog. This set is perfect for anyone who loves natures, loves making quick cards, or doesn’t yet have a die cutting machine because of the great dragonfly punch that comes with it. Today, I’m going to show you how to make two simple, yet beautiful cards with this set, as well as show you other samples of cards made with it. Let’s take a look!

Stampin Up Dragonfly Garden Bundle

First, let me introduce you to the Dragonfly Garden Bundle. The Dragonfly Garden stamp set comes with two beautiful, large dragonflies, a tall bundle of flowers, a fill stamp for the dragonfly wings and inspirational messages. The Dragonflies Punch includes a large dragonfly that coordinates with the stamps as well as a smaller dragonfly. This set is so lovely and can be found on page 27 of the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog.

Below is a video introducing tons of cards designs that can be created with the Stampin Up Dragonfly Garden Bundle. I’ll show you exactly how to make two simple designs.

2 Dragonfly Garden Cards

Today I’m going to share with you two simple cards you can make with this beautiful set. Below I’ll list the materials and instructions for each card.

Card #1

Materials:

8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ Whisper White card base
Pear Pizzazz ink
Blushing Bride
Highland Heather
So Saffron
Shaded Spruce
Shammy
Dimensionals

With the card base in front of you, reach for the flower bundle stamp. Begin stamping in Pear Pizzazz, try stamping a couple times without inking — it gives it a nice faded effect! Next, add some Blushing Bride, So Saffron and Highland Heather.

Next, stamp two dragonflies in Shaded Spruce onto white cardstock and punch out. Adhere the dragonflies onto the card base with dimensionals. *Hint* I like to bend the wings up to give the dragonflies more dimension.

Add the inspirational message. Viola! Check out how this card turned out.

Card #2

Materials:

8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ Whisper White card base
Shaded Spruce
Stampin Blends Markers in Light Mango Melody & Dark Calypso Coral
Banners Pick A Punch
Multipurpose Glue
Dimensionals
Pearls

Begin by stamping the small cluster of dragonflies all over the front of the card base in Shaded Spruce, allowing the ink to fade between re-inking. Next, stamp two large dragonflies onto vellum paper. Color in the wings of the dragonflies with the Stampin Blends Markers on the opposite side from the one you stamped on. Punch these out and glue to the card base with Multipurpose glue.

On a small strip of paper, stamp a message of your choice and punch the ends with the Banners Pick a Punch. Attach with Dimensionals and embellish with pearls. Simple and beautiful!

Adding a simple ribbon or twine, like in this card, can really bring the design together and make it pop.

I love the sweet little ladybug embellishments added to this card.

Isn’t this card lovely? All the layers frame the beautiful dragonfly perfectly and make it appear to fly right off the paper with all the dimension.

The colors on both of these cards are just gorgeous. I give credit to my team members Tanya and Gayle for creating these gorgeous cards. I love the bright yellows and blues in the first card and the subtle pop of greens and purples in the second.
