Thanks for joining me in my little piece of cardmaking heaven. Today I’m going to share a card challenge one of my awesome team members created. She gave us a list of materials and measurements, and we configured a design based on those. It was so much fun, so I’m going to share those materials and measurements with you as well. With this template, you’ll be able to create quick and beautiful cards. It’s definitely the perfect go-to card design for when you’re in a time crunch or for when you’re wanting to make lots of cards quickly. Let’s take a look.
Go-To Card Design Video
Below is my go-to card design video. Take a look!
Go-To Card Design Measurements
Below is a list of materials and measurements for this card.
Materials to Make 6 Cards
- Berry Blessings Stamp Set
- 3 – 8 1/2″ x 11″ Pacific Point
- 3 – 8 1/2″ x 11″ Whisper White
- Cardstock scraps for 1 3/4″ and 2″ circles
- Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper
- Adhesive
- 1 3/4″ circle punch
- 2″ circle punch
- Banners Pick-a-Punch
Card Bases
Here’s a quick and easy way to create the card bases. When making just a couple card bases at a time, I like to use my Stampin Up Trimmer. If you’re in the market for a paper trimmer, I highly recommend the Stampin Up Trimmer. It allows you to both cut and score cards, which is great for creating quick card bases like we will be doing.
First, score the 8 1/2″ side of the Pacific Point cardstock halfway at 4 1/4″. Turn horizontal and cut in half at 5 1/2″. Set aside.
Mats
To make the mats, reach for the 8 1/2″ x 11″ Whisper White cardstock. Cut 1/2″ off each side (save these strips for later!). On the long edge, cut in half at 5 1/4″. Turn and cut the 8″ side in half at 4″.
Designer Paper
Grab a full sheet of Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper. Trim the paper at 10 1/4″ (not 10″ like mentioned in the video), then cut at 5 1/8″ (not 5″). Turn the other direction and cut at 3 7/8″ three different times. Lastly, line the long side of the paper up at the 3″ mark and cut. This will leave you with a 3″ piece and a 2″ piece.
Other Elements
With Pacific Point scraps, punch six 2″ circles. Also punch six 1 3/4″ circles in Whisper White. Add a phrase/greeting to the Whisper White circles.
Next, reach for the Banners Pick A Punch, and the Whisper White 1/2″ strips left over from the mat pieces. First cut the strips down to 4 1/2″ in length. Next, punch each end with the Banners Pick a Punch.
How to Assemble the Card
To assemble the cards, line up all six card bases. Adhere each Whisper White mat with Seal+ to the bases. Next, reach for the 3″ designer paper sheets (the larger ones) and glue to the top portion of the white mat. Next, reach for the smaller designer paper sheets. Flip over to reveal a new pattern. Line up and adhere just below the 3″ designer paper. Take the white 1/2″ strips and adhere over the seam of the designer paper. Next add the circle pieces.
And there you have it! A wonderful go-to card design for quick and beautiful cards. If you’ve tried this template, leave a picture in the comments, I’d love to see your creations!
