April 2021 Paper Pumpkin is here, and it screams summer. Yay! There’s been a lot of hype about this Paper Pumpkin kit, and for good reason. The kit includes the So Cool stamp set, Bermuda Bay ink sample, 12 printed card bases, 12 printed envelopes, printed die cut stickers, glimmer die cuts, white die cut labels, Bumblebee baker’s twine, adhesive dots and dimensionals.
Pre-designed Projects
Paper Pumpkin kits always come with instructions for the predesigned projects as intended by Stampin Up. Below are the samples I created using the included instructions.
April 2021 Paper Pumpkin Alternative Ideas
I always love creating alternative ideas for my Paper Pumpkin kits. Alternative ideas give the creator a little more freedom to use the kits in different ways. Check out my projects below.
From The Kit
In the instructions, Stampin Up always includes a few samples of alternative ideas. Below is one of those samples. My daughter created this card, and I think she did great!
Stamped Images
For these cards, I simply used Memento Black ink and stamped images with the stamps included in the kit. Then I used either Blends markers or Stampin’ Write markers to add color. Super easy!
Scrapbook Page
Are you a scrapbooker? For this Paper Pumpkin alternative, I used one of the included watermelon card bases to create a fun element for a scrapbook page. I also stamped small watermelons all over the background using green ink.
No Waste Watermelon Card
What did I do with the back half of the watermelon card that I used on the scrapbook page above? I turned it into another watermelon card, shown below! No waste! I used blending brushes to add color to the plain white cardstock, then added seeds with one of the stamps included in this kit.
The 2021 April Paper Pumpkin kit screams summer fun. Like I said, I love how Stampin Up is promoting young creativity and family togetherness. If you’re interested in signing up for Paper Pumpkin and receiving fun kits mailed to you, click here.
