Stampin Up Irresistible Blooms & More Online Exclusives Now Available!

1 Mar

Today marks the kick off of some really neat new products being available, including my favorite – the Stampin Up Irresistible Blooms bundle. These new products are called Online Exclusives, because they’re only available online – not in our catalogs. I have several projects and techniques to share today using a few of these new products. Let’s take a look at them.

I’ve used several new products on the cards below, and I’m highlighting three easy techniques you can use on your upcoming projects. The products I used include the Stampin Up Irresistible Blooms stamp set, Classic Letters stamps, Basics embossing folders (I’ve used these so many times already!), Naturally Gilded designer paper, Hello Irresistible paper, and Loose Frosted Dots.

Let’s take a look at the simple techniques you can try.

1. Inking Embossing Folder With Multiple Colors Of Ink

I recently shared a tutorial with several ways to ink embossing folders. This card is a little different from those, in that I used three different colors of ink pads and pressed directly against the embossing folder. To see details from the other ideas for inking embossing folders, use the link above.

2. Blending Ink Onto Designer Paper

Often, we look at patterned paper for what it is, not what it could be. You can always personalize it! I used blending brushes to blend ink between the foil designs, then I used the Classic Letters stamps to create the ’50’ on the tag.

3. Rolling Stamps In Ink

Here’s an easy way to stamp in more than one color. Choose two colors of ink in a similar color range. First ink your stamp in the lighter color, then ‘roll’ the outer part of the stamp into the darker color. Now stamp onto your paper.

You can see this technique shown on the center flower below. I created this lovely die cut with the Irresistible Blooms die set. Isn’t it gorgeous?
