Have you ever made a shaker card? I recently shared a tutorial on how to make a shaker card simply in four easy steps. Today I want to take it a step further and share some creative ways to make shaker cards. I’ll be using the brand new Stampin Up Beautiful Balloons bundle. Let’s take a look!

Here’s the lovely bundle I used to create today’s cards. The different sizes of balloons in the die set were perfect for the shaker card techniques I used.

Creative Shaker Cards

For this first card I stuck with a basic shaker card design, and I created the shaker panel across the full card front. I created the frame using a Deckled Rectangle die on the inside, and one of the Basic Borders dies on the sides.

This next card takes a standard shaker card and scales it down a bit to just a portion of the card front. I used the large die with three balloons to cut out the inside.

Last but not least, I created this shaker card with sequins only inside the two balloons. I used two different sizes of balloon dies for each of them – a large balloon to cut the outside and a smaller balloon to cut out the inside. Then I used the larger balloon die to cut the piece of window sheet to mount behind the frame.
