Welcome friends! I have some fun cards to share with you today that I made using several different techniques for inking a stamp with multiple colors of ink. This was really fun to do with my favorite new school stamp set called Stampin Up School Days. Let’s take a look at these cards!

Featured School Stamp set
Here you can see the stamps I used on these cards. Aren’t they cute? I have a hard time finding stamps for anything school-themed, so I knew I wanted to order this set when I saw it. I also love the greetings in the Pattern Of Friendship set, so I used them as well.

Ink Techniques
Let’s take a look at these simple techniques!
Backpack Card
I used a special technique for the backpack in the middle of this card. To make it, I used markers on the stamp and a stamping platform so that I could color the blue area first, stamp, then color the green area and stamp a second time. This is a great way to use multiple colors for a single stamp.

Apple Card
For this one, I also used markers to apply ink to the stamp, but I colored all three colors and stamped at one time using an acrylic block compared to how I did the technique above. Aren’t these apples cute?!

Book Card
For this one I actually just inked each time with a separate color. This is a very simple way to get some variation in your colors.

Star Card
I used a technique called rolling for this card. This technique is better used with larger stamps, but it works here as well. You can learn more about the rolling technique here.

Graduation Cap Card
I used the beloved baby wipe technique for this card. I thought it would be a good way to use two separate school colors on the graduation cap. I’ve shared several other baby wipe technique cards including this and this one.

I hope you can try these techniques soon!
