Yesterday was Day 2 of my Rising Star Trip to the Stampin’ Up! Home Office. It was a fun, educational, jam-packed, wonderful day. Day 1 was pretty awesome, so I was excited to see what Day 2 had in store.
We arrived at the Home Office in the morning and were greeted with much excitement by the Stampin’ Up! Corporate Team at the door. There were hugs all around.
The day began with a tour of the office and distribution facility. I’ll wait and share pictures of our tour on another day, so be sure to check back. For now I’ll share this from our tour…I got to help pick some orders on the picking line!
First, I had to scan the barcode on the box. Then I laid the scanner in that box so I didn’t get mixed up which box I was picking for.
Then I turned around and looked for blinking red lights! Lights would be blinking under the correct product(s) with the number I needed to pick. After getting that item and putting it in the box, I pressed the button to make it stop blinking and have it recorded as ‘picked.’
I had so much fun doing this! It was really funny how excited we all were to get to help with this. I think the complexity of the entire process was fascinating, and it’s just fun to know how those orders actually get to us! I’ll share more details in the next week or so, so that you can be amazed like me!
I’ll share more pictures from the distribution center when I share all the pictures of our tour. That was just a mini sneak peek!
Also during our tour we got to see Co-founder and CEO Shelli Gardner’s office. She is currently serving a mission for an entire year, so we were given cards with a note from her. How cute!
After our tour it was time for some training. Fun training with fun people. Not boring training just to clarify:) On our way to the ‘classroom’ we could stop for some beverages in the Rising Star cooler.
And grab some tasty treats.
And put the tasty treats in these adorable treat bags, made especially for our Rising Star trip.
I’m starting to get spoiled. I keep reminding myself that I’m going home in a few days to a toddler who will pee anywhere besides on a potty. That’s right, real life will return. But for now, I’ll take this!
This was our cute table setting for lunch. I asked, “Is someone getting married here today?” In case you’re wondering, those are Stampin’ Up! buttons sprinkled on the table (they were gorgeous in person) and the napkins were tied with some Silver Cording and Sequin Trim out of our catalog. How fun.
Lunch was delicious, and check out these sweet treats.
We can’t go 5 minutes without some sort of surprise or gift, so these came along with lunch. I can’t share what was in them because it was products that will be in the Occasions 2016 Catalog!!! I love them, and they’re so different from anything we offer right now. If you wait a month or so maybe I can share a preview!
We had some great sessions with people from different teams such as product development, web marketing and the team that puts the catalogs together. We also got to talk to a past Rising Star who is very successful and had some advice to share with us.
Then it was back into the Escalade to get to our next stop. Check out the view of the mountains.
Our next stop was Gardner Village. It’s a little area of shops that are historic buildings that were all moved to the area. First we went to the spa and received our choice of a facial or massage. Sign me up for the massage! It was my first one ever!
After an hour and a half of relaxation, it was time for some more food! We ate at this restaurant in an old mill. It was really cute and the food was excellent.
Shortly after we ordered our food, it was time for another round of gifts. This time it was a cute little gift box. It was heavy. What could be inside?
That’s right. My very own personal stamp along with Clear Block E to mount it to. How cool is that?
There couldn’t be a minute without some sort of excitement, so a few minutes later a rather loud, slightly inappropriate and crazy witch showed up. We thought she was just making rounds in the restaurant until she called us VIPs and wanted to know our names. There is no possible way for me to recreate the entertainment that occurred during the next few minutes. I’ll just say that there was talk of eating poop and rolling boogers. Really loud talking. And lots of staring from the other restaurant guests and servers. My face hurt from laughing so much.
Does this give a better picture?
Then it was back to the hotel for some talking into the late hours with my five new friends!
If you can’t tell, Day 2 was pretty much awesome. I love Stampin’ Up! I love that we’re being rewarded for the work we put in over the last year and that the Home Office staff really appreciates us. Can’t wait to see what’s in store tomorrow! Check back and see!
If you plan to order, use hostess code HTHNWWZ3 and I will send you a free gift! Even better, sign up for stamp club and you will get free projects and free stamps!
