Have you ever had an off-the-wall craft product catch your eye and you absolutely fall in love with it? I designed today’s project off of one of these products. It’s small, hardly costs anything, but the impact it can have on your cards is BIG! Let’s take a look at today’s just because card idea!
What do you first notice when you see this card? I would say that amazing pattern in the background. I sponged that pattern using our new Basic Pattern Masks, available in this year’s Holiday Catalog. There are four masks that come in the set, and they are all amazing. This one in particular caught my eye and I had to use it!
Below you can see the four patterns that come in the set. I haven’t had a chance to try the lower ones yet, but I did make this project the other day with that fantastic tree mask. For just $6 you can add these to your crafting collection and use them to make stunning cards for years to come!
When sponging over the masks, I suggest doing these three things. 1. Cut the cardstock you’re sponging onto slightly larger than the finished size. Use the extra space on edges to use washi tape to tape it to your workspace. Next, lay the mask over top and tape it down as well. 2. Ink your sponge on an ink pad, then blot it onto scrap paper to get excess ink off. 3. Then apply ink over the mask using a gentle swirling motion.
I shouldn’t forget to mention the lovely daisy! I used the Daisy Lane stamp set and Daisy Punch to create these. I have used this Daisy Punch on quite a few projects…it’s definitely a favorite!
I hope you liked this daisy just because card idea! Thanks for visiting!
