Welcome and thanks for joining me! Today I’m introducing the June 2021 Paper Pumpkin kit – Expressions in Color. My kit arrived while I was away on our family vacation, so I was very excited to see it in my collection of mail when I got back. I absolutely fell in love with this kit the moment I opened it. Keep reading and I’ll share with you my June 2021 Paper Pumpkin alternative ideas and kit samples.
June 2021 Paper Pumpkin Alternatives Video
I’ve created a video introducing this month’s Paper Pumpkin kit. Watch along for details on my alternative ideas, which include turning your kit contents into some basic fun fold cards!
If you didn’t already notice, this Paper Pumpkin kit coordinates perfectly with the Expressions In Ink designer series paper which I featured on these beautiful cards. This paper pack would be the perfect add-on purchase to help you extend the contents of your kit to make many more cards.
Expressions In Color Kit Contents
This month’s kit came with three card designs. It included enough supplies to make three of each design, for a total of 9 cards.
Below is a list of supplies that were included:
- 9 card bases
- die cuts
- vellum pieces
- tags
- twine
- sequins
- adhesives
- stamps
- 2 ink spots
- envelopes
Kit Designs
Each Paper Pumpkin kit comes with photos and instructions for pre-designed cards. Below are the samples I created using the kit as it was intended for each card design. Aren’t these beautiful?!
June 2021 Paper Pumpkin Alternative Ideas
I used some of my kit contents to come up with other ways to use the kit as well. Let’s look at my June 2021 Paper Pumpkin alternative ideas for the Expressions In Color kit.
Gate Fold Cards
Have you done any fun fold designs lately? These alternative ideas are all gate fold cards. Usually gate folds are made as vertical cards, but I think it works well with these!
Wreath Card
Here’s another alternative. I LOVE creating wreaths. Here’s a sample of a wreath card I created from some of the foliage die cuts.
Additional Design
Here’s another design I created with the left over vellum, twine, sequins and green paper.
Stencil Design
As I was beginning to clean up, I noticed the paper I punched the die cuts out of for the wreath card (see left side of photo below). I was about to throw it away, then decided it was perfect for making a stencil. I used this piece and my blending brushes to create the pretty background on this card.
What do you think about these samples? Let me know what you think of these June 2021 Paper Pumpkin alternative ideas in the comments sections. I’d love to hear from you.
