24 Feb

Hey all! Do you ever have trouble stamping right along the edge of your cardstock when using your Stamparatus, MISTI or other stamping platform? I did too until I learned an easy trick to get my edges to stamp. Today I’m going to share with you this simple hack that will save you tons of time and frustration. Let’s take a look.

Take a look at today's card making hack and get your edges to stamp perfectly while using the MISTI or Stamparatus. Works every time!

Edge-Stamping Issues

Do you have issues with your images stamping like shown in the photo below when you’re stamping very close to the hinges on your stamping platform? If you’re like many stampers, when stamping near the edge, your images don’t stamp completely and you don’t get a nice full and complete image. I know the frustration. That’s why I want to share this handy tip that will save you loads of frustration and headaches.

Get Your Edges to Stamp Trick

The first thing you’ll need to do is take a quick trip to the store and grab some round magnets. I found these at the dollar store, and I picked up a package of 12 magnets for $1. These round magnets that are about 1/8″ thick work perfectly.

Place a few of the magnets in the corner of your Stamparatus, MISTI or other stamping platform. This will act as a buffer to hold your paper out farther from the hinges.

Next place the cardstock against the magnets and line up your stamps where you want them on your cardstock. Rotate the plate over to adhere the stamps to the plate.

Ink up your stamp, and rotate the plate to stamp your image. Look – it stamped perfectly!

If you don’t get a complete stamp, rotate the plate and try it again. The magnets will keep the cardstock in the same place each time and allow you to retry. How simple is that! You’ll be able to get your edges to stamp perfectly with this trick, and hopefully this hack will save you loads of frustration like it has me.
