Use The Stampin Up Stitched Greenery Die For Gorgeous Backgrounds

I’m excited you’re here today because I have something I can’t wait to share. A while back I had ordered Stampin Up’s Stitched Greenery Die and I finally had a chance to play with it. It easily creates a beautiful, elegant background which can be used as-is or embellished with other accents. Quick and beautiful cards – we love them, right? Keep reading and I’ll share more about making simple cards with this neat die.

Stampin Up Stitched Greenery Die

The Stitched Greenery Die is one die that measure 6″ x 4 3/4″. It doesn’t cut your paper into a certain shape like most dies, however. Instead, it imprints stitching marks in a greenery pattern that covers the paper. Honestly, the function of it reminds me more of an embossing folder than a die, but it is in fact a metal die.

The size makes it perfect to use as a background for your card projects. It’s used in the same way as any other die. Simply run it through your Cut & Emboss Machine with the appropriate plates for a beautiful end result.

Here are some cards I created using this Stitched Greenery die. I love the beauty and elegance of each card.

Like I said earlier, this die can be used to create an elegant background for a card or paper craft, and it’s lovely just the way it is. Or you can use techniques such as this panel card below and add embellishments for a little more dressed up look.

Stitched Greenery Project

Next, let’s walk through a project together. Here are the materials to make the green sample card.

Materials & Measurements

• 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″  Just Jade Card Base
• 5 1/4″ x 4″ White Cardstock

Other Materials

• Ribbon
• Sentiment Tag from Many Messages Stamp & Die Set
• Blending Brushes
• Just Jade Ink

To begin, run the 5 1/4″ x 4″ white cardstock through the Cut & Emboss machine with the Stitched Greenery die. Next, reach for your Blending Brushes and Just Jade ink. Begin lightly blending the ink onto the white cardstock. Adhere white cardstock onto Just Jade card base and attach ribbon and sentiment.
