Try This Tri-Panel Card Design Today For Quick & Beautiful Cards

Greetings! Today, I have a tri-panel card design to share with you. This card sketch was created by my team member, Tanya, for our monthly team challenge recently. This design is perfect for when you’re in a creative slump and don’t exactly know what to create (we’ve all been there!). In today’s post, I’ll share all the measurements and materials you’ll need to make this project. I’ll also share a really helpful tip at the end, so stay tuned.

Let’s look first at the stamp sets and designer papers I used on these cards.

Tri-Panel Card Sentiment Stamp Sets & Designer Paper

For today’s cards, I used sentiments from the Celebrate Sunflowers and Lovely You stamp sets seen below. I used the Expressions of Ink designer paper pack which I’ve become mildly obsessed with. It is SO pretty.

Tri-Panel Card Samples

Below are several samples of cards I’ve made using this tri-panel card sketch design. I absolutely love how quick and easy it is to make cards using this sketch.

These designer papers are all so gorgeous. I love the watercolory, alcohol-ink look to them. I really can’t pick a favorite, even though I keep trying to decide!

Now let’s talk about measurements so you can make some of these cards yourself!

Tri-Panel Card Measurements

Here I’ve listed two separate groups of measurements. The first set of measurements you can use to make the basic card with the three panels. The second group of measurements is for the mats if you choose to add them.

Basic Card Measurements

5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ Card Base
1 1/2″ x 3 5/8″ Panels (Need 3)
3/4″ x 3 3/4″ Sentiment

Mat Measurements

5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ Background Mat
1 5/8″ x 3 3/4″ Panel Mat (Need 3)
7/8″ x 3 7/8″ Sentiment Mat

Okay, time for another tip!

Have you ever wondered what you should put on the inside of a card or how you should decorate it? My tip for today is to add a small strip of coordinating designer paper (1/2″ x 5 1/2″) to the bottom of the inside of your card. It looks great and makes the card coordinate throughout.
