Yes, I said it would be a week full of fall projects and here is another one! Today’s project is some Thanksgiving treat boxes that would be a great decoration for your holiday table. I actually made these as treats for guests at a weekend retreat I hosted the last couple of days, but like I said, they would be great for Thanksgiving treats, or Christmas too – just not with fall leaves on them!
I made the box itself using the Fry Box Bigz die with my Big Shot. It cuts and scores the cardstock and I just had to fold on the scored lines, attach two strips of tear and tape adhesive, and attach the edges together. Because I used a Bigz die, I was able to cut a couple of these at once. That made for less cranking!
After the box itself was assembled, I made the leaves. I stamped the fancy maple leaf from the Lighthearted Leaves stamp set using Rich Razzleberry ink onto whisper white cardstock. Then I sponged Old Olive, Crushed Curry, Tangelo Twist and Rich Razzleberry over the top. I cut them out using the Leaflets framelits dies.
I cut 3/4″ strips from the Into the Woods designer paper pack and wrapped them around the boxes. Then I attached the leaves and a little gold cording bow. Oh, and I added some treats of course!
I would love to see your Thanksgiving table with some of these boxes scattered around. Comment or share a picture with me if you do!
