Do you use masks on your card projects? Blending brushes are such a neat tool to use on cards, and when used with masks, you can create unique backgrounds in no time. Today I’ll share eight creative ways to use masks with blending brushes and I’m finishing my cards with the Stampin Up Wanted To Say dies and Good Feelings stamp set. Let’s take a look!
Blending Brushes
If you need an introduction to using blending brushes, I encourage you to take a look here. They can be used in a lot of ways, and today we’re just using them with masks. Let’s look at the ways I used them.
Creative Ways To Use Masks & Blending Brushes
Instead of blending across the full card, I decided to blend in specific patterns. They are…
1. Corners
2. Stripes
3. Polka Dots
4. Inner Portion
5. Outer Portion
6. Diagonal Stripes
7. Die Cut Over A Mask
8. Angled Section
I also tried laying one mask over a second mask, which did create a unique pattern. I shared this in the video but I don’t have a photo to include here. This could create some really neat results if you have the right masks that complement each other.
