Shockingly Simple Card Designs!

16 Apr

Thanks for being here today. I have some really simple card ideas to share and I’m glad you’re here to see them. Let’s take a look at a few shockingly simple card designs!

Click to see a shockingly simple card design that can be created in minutes using just a blending brush, mask created from a basic shape die, and one stamp!

Video Tutorial

Watch along here and make sure to post a comment on YouTube for your chance to win this week’s prize!

Creating These Cards

To create one of these cards is simple. First, use a basic shape die to cut from a piece of cardstock. This will serve as a mask to do some blending. Use a blending brush to apply color with the mask to a white card base. Next choose a stamp, and use black or dark gray ink to stamp over top of the masked area. That’s it!

Card Samples

Let’s take a look at these cards!

For these two cards, I blended inside of the die cut, then added some beautiful floral stamps from the Fragrant Layers stamp set.

The next two cards are slightly different. For the card on the left, I used the solid floral stamp instead of the outline stamp. For the card on the right, I blended outside of the die cut instead of inside. It gives a slightly different look.

The cards above are extremely simple, with no layers, but I created the last card shown below with a few layers to show a bit more detail.

This is so simple! You’ll have to try this technique soon!
