Who doesn’t want (and need) a little creativity fix every now and then? Once a month maybe? Once a month is a good start. Some of us want a little creativity but don’t feel like we have many ideas. Or materials. Or time. Or space. I have a pretty cool solution for you and it’s called Paper Pumpkin. It will arrive on your doorstep once each month in a cute little orange box ready to whisk you (possibly along with your kids, friends, sister, mom or a crafty hubby) away to a magical land of fun and creativity. At least for a little while 🙂
So here is a little peek at the September 2015 Paper Pumpkin kit. This is that little orange box I love so much.
I love opening it up each month. That pretty blue tissue paper is so…pretty. Plus, there’s always a message thanking me for inviting it back into my home each month! It always makes me happy!
I open up the tissue paper to see the ink color and stamp set for this month. Oh my gosh I love this stamp set! It’s adorable!
I open it a little more to see what fun project I get to make. Holy moly these treat bags are adorable!!!
When I flip over the package, I can see all the fun materials (precut and ready to go) to make the project. How cute are those paper straws???
Now I can check out the instructions if I’m feeling like a reader, or go to YouTube and watch the video if I feel like being a watcher. Honestly, I usually skip the instructions and figure it out as I go. Then when I mess something up I check the instructions to see how to fix it! Learn from my mistakes and just read (or watch) the instructions!
So here’s how to make this month’s kit. First, open up the paper bag.
Next attach the stamps to your clear block and stamp the tags.
Get the brown fringe strip. Begin peeling off the adhesive backing while attaching it along the bottom of the bag.
Continue peeling and attaching.
Here it is all attached together.
Then curl the fringe pieces around a pencil or paper straw that came in the kit.
After you have put your treats inside, insert a straw and tie it shut with a piece of raffia.
Attach the tags with a piece of cording. All done!
So that is last month’s kit, but you can’t purchase past kits unless you’re a Paper Pumpkin subscriber. What will the kit be next month? Who knows! It’s always a fun surprise!
