It’s time for a party!! A party to celebrate women with life experience! I know there are definitely downfalls to getting older, but at least for today, we’re going to celebrate the GOOD things! For me personally, age has helped bring confidence, knowing what I want in life, making time for the people and things that matter, putting more time into relationships in general, making peace with difficult people in my life, and letting go of those difficult situations which I cannot change and the people attached to them. I guess I would summarize that by the idea of spending more time on things that matter, and less on things that don’t. I’ll raise a toast to that! Today’s card is a toast to women with some life experience. I’m calling it an over 50 handmade birthday card idea, but it would work for younger women too!
Aren’t the ladies on this card fantastic?! They are living it up, celebrating with good friends who, I’m just guessing, have seen them during good times and bad. We all need some friends like that, right?
Let’s take a look at the stamps used on this card. It’s the Stampin Up Young At Heart set, and below you can see what’s included in the set.
How great is this set to celebrate the women in your life?! I love it!
Here are a couple of tips to create today’s card. Stamp the image with Memento black ink, then add color using an aqua painter and ink. I created the diamond pattern around the edge using the Pattern Party Masks and a sponge with Blueberry Bushel ink.
That’s it for today’s over 50 handmade birthday card idea! Thanks for visiting.
