Welcome to this month’s One Stamp at a Time Blog Hop! We’re featuring some clean and simple project ideas this time around! I’m not always the greatest at clean and simple – I have to make things complicated sometimes – but I did manage to keep it pretty simple. I mean, I didn’t even use adhesive!!!
Here is what I put together. A card, envelope, and bookmark set using the Stampin’ Up! Blooms & Wishes stamp set.
I used the spritz stamping technique to make these and I love the effect it created. Here’s how to do some spritz stamping yourself.
- Ink a stamp.
- Lay the stamp on the table upside down (ink side up).
- Spritz it with water.
- Stamp as normal.
- Let dry, or use a heat tool to speed the drying process.
You will probably end up with water everywhere, but the end result is worth it!
To create the card, I first placed a strip of Post-It Note where the ‘For You’ blank strip is located. Then I did all of the background stamping. Next I removed the Post-It and stamped ‘For You’ and the two leaves.
If you try the spritz stamping technique, don’t judge the results before your project is dry. It might look ugly when wet, but it should improve when it dries! Now make sure to continue on to Tina’s blog and see what she has to share!
