I had a booth at a local festival this weekend which is why I haven’t posted for a few days. I was busy preparing! While at the festival, I had a quick make and take project for people to complete. This is the mini acorny thank you card that we made.
This was easy to prepare for (good for me!) and easy to make (good for anyone who stopped by my booth!). The card base is a 3×6″ piece of whisper white cardstock. After folding it in half, we stamped the leaves from the Vintage Leaves stamp set using Soft Suede ink. Then we used the 2 1/2″ circle punch to punch a big circle. “It’s like a hole punch,” I was told more than once yesterday from people who haven’t done much (or any) papercrafting before. Exactly, like a giant hole punch.
We sponged around the circle using Soft Suede, then added the acorn from the Acorny Thank You (Ha ha! Get it?) stamp set to both the circle and envelope using Tangerine Tango and Rich Razzeberry ink. We stamped ‘Grateful For You’ using Soft Suede and punched it out using the Word Window punch. Then we attached the pieces together using Multipurpose Glue.
Adults enjoyed the project and kids loved it! It was a great opportunity to promote the kids craft nights I hold monthly. I heard from the parents (no surprise) that they need things besides technology to entertain their kids. Stamping is a great alternative! Kids love it!
