Today is already day 11 of my 12 Days of DIY Gift Ideas. Can you believe how fast it’s gone? Today’s gift is inspired by the well-loved and popular farmhouse style, and they are canning jar ring ornaments. I’ve created these ring ornaments out of canning jar rings and they are so beautiful (even more so in person)! Don’t you love the subtle and relaxed beauty of these ornaments? Keep reading and I’ll show you exactly how I made these beautiful and easy DIY gifts. Your recipient will want to hang these year after year!

How to Make a Jar Ring Ornament

Below are instructions on how to make one of these jar ring ornaments.

Materials:

Standard Canning Jar Ring
2 1/2″ cardstock circle
Ribbon or String
Stamps and Dies of Your Choice

First, create the hanger for the jar ring ornament with string or ribbon by tying it through the ring and knotting it. Next, glue the designer paper to the back side of the ring. Attach punches and die cuts of your choice. Some of the sets I used include Stampin Up’s North Pole Wonder Die Set, Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set, Pine Tree Punch, Poinsettia Dies, and So Many Snowflakes Dies.
