ICS Blog Hop – A Santa’s Sleigh Wonderland

7 Dec

Hi everyone and welcome to our LAST Inspire, Create, & Share Blog Hop of 2016. Can you believe that 2017 is just around the corner? It’s crazy how fast time flies! I have a lovely card to share with you today that I made with the Stampin’ Up! Santa’s Sleigh Thinlits, so keep reading and check it out!

ICS Blog Hop

Our theme this month is White on White. Every time I see a white on white card, I fall in love with it, but I’ve never made one myself…until now. This month’s theme gave me the perfect chance to try it out! I instantly knew which stamp/die set I wanted to use to make my card – the Santa’s Sleigh Thinlits. I knew it would be fantastic in all white, and I decided to use a combination of Whisper White Thick cardstock and Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper. How do you like it?

Beautiful Joy to the World White Christmas Reindeer Card made with Stampin' Up! Santa's Sleigh Thinlits

This was really simple to make. I embossed the card base using the Softly Falling embossing folder, a favorite of mine. Then I die cut the shapes from the Santa’s Sleigh set.

On the bottom of the card, I tore white cardstock to appear as snow drifts and used glue and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter on the edges for a glimmery touch.

The greeting stamp is from the Tin of Tags set, which is on sale right now as a part of our Year End Closeout Sale. I LOVE the greetings in this set! They are well-worded, pretty, and the perfect size to match up with a few of our punches. I stamped the ‘Joy to the World’ stamp with Versamark ink, sprinkled it with Heat and Stick powder, and heated it with the embossing tool. When the powder melted and got sticky, I sprinkled glitter over top and heated it one more time. I thought it turned out beautiful.
