My dad’s birthday was yesterday and I have known for over a month what I wanted to put on his card. Did I have it done prior to yesterday? Well of course not, but at least I knew what I wanted to do.
My dad is a farmer and he and my brother own a New Holland combine. For those of you who aren’t very familiar with farming equipment, New Holland means yellow. Not red or green, yellow. You don’t see too many of them around. Actually it’s yellow and black and is occasionally called the big bumblebee. So for his birthday card, I wanted to create a combine using my punches and tools. Here ’tis.
I used the woodgrain embossing folder to create the texture in the field. I made the corn in the field with the fringe scissors. I used a few punches and did a little bit of cutting by hand to make the combine.
