How to Make a Drapery Fold Card

Below I’ve listed measurements and materials you’ll need to make this card.

Materials:

  • 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ Card Base
  • 6″ x 12″ Designer Paper (I used Expressions in Ink)
  • Greeting Tag
  • Embellishments

Instructions:

To begin, turn the designer paper so the 6″ edge is at the top. Measure in 1″ from the right side. Next, on the bottom 6″ edge, measure in 1″ from the left. Next, reach for your Simply Scored Scoring Tool. With the 12″ side at the top, score at: 1″, 3″, 4″, 6″, 7″, 9″ and 10″. After scoring, cut from the first 1″ mark to the second 1″ mark made earlier.

Once cut, begin folding the paper according to the lines scored earlier. This paper will be folded back and forth in a zig-zag motion. Attach to the card base using a strong adhesive and leave the bottom edge unattached to be able to appreciate more ‘volume’ from the folding. Trim the excess designer paper off to line up with the bottom edge of the card. Add some ribbon to the top and finish with a tag!
