Use Those Scraps – Creating Medallion Cards With Punches

7 Jul

Welcome stamping friends! I have a quick and easy project idea to share today that 1- is a wonderful way to use paper scraps and 2- will give you one more way to use the punches in your collection. I’m calling them medallion cards or mosaic cards. Let’s take a look at them.

Here's one more way to use your punches - by creating medallion cards! They're a wonderful way to use paper scraps! Featuring Stampin Up Lovely & Lasting and Handmade Wishes.

Medallion Cards Video

For all the details, watch along here as I create and share two different medallion cards.

Creating Medallion Cards

Creating these cards is simple – simply punch several times with one of your paper punches, attach these pieces to the background of a card and trim the excess around the edges. Then attach a sentiment tag and you’re done!

Featured Punch Bundles

The bundles I used for these cards are the Handmade Wishes Bundle…

…and the Lovely & Lasting bundle. I love these two punches in particular because their shapes are perfect for sentiment tags, and also because the stamp sets include coordinating stamps that provide an outline of the shape.

The designer papers I used on today’s cards are so pretty, and you can get them free right now during Sale-a-bration! For every $50 you spend, you get to choose one free item, and these paper packs are two of the options. They’re called Rings of Love…

…and Wonderful World. The Wonderful World paper pack comes as a bundle with a beautiful floral stamp set (which I used to create the tag) with any $100 order.
