So here’s another post full of ideas from one of my past stamp sets of the month. Want to see this month’s set? Check it out here. Butterfly Basics was my set of the month for March. I pick my absolute favorite sets to feature- they’re the ones that you can make many different types of cards using JUST that particular set. Every single stamp that I used on these cards was from the Butterfly Basics set. Let’s check them out.
When I started making the card below, I was forcing myself to use the flower stamp (am I allowed to admit that?). This type of image- the big flower, colored in- just isn’t my style. But it was in the set, and I was trying to highlight the set, so I used it. When I got it done, I really liked it! Next time you’re stamping, you should force yourself to use something you’re not especially in love with and see how it turns out!
Next up is my favorite card of the bunch. The fern is my FAVORITE and that little postmark stamp is just darling. Did I just say darling?
I thought that little honeycomb-looking stamp looked like, well, honeycomb, so of course I had to make a bee card! I made the bee using our circle and oval punches. The rest of the card is stamped except for the little trail behind the bee, which I drew by hand with a marker.
Did I say that I LOVE the fern??? Create the card below by stamping a couple of times before you re-ink the stamp. Don’t the faded ferns give a nice effect?
The stamp set is called Butterfly Basics for a reason, so I figured I better stamp some butterflies. The largest butterfly you see coordinates with our Butterfly Thinlits dies. The small butterfly that is punched out was done so with our Bitty Butterfly punch.
This set is only available through June 2, so don’t put off ordering too much longer!
