Is anyone else in the mood for fall to be here? If you know me, you already know that I love fall. I even put up my fall decorations a couple of days ago because they make me happy 🙂 It’s almost like they’re warm and comforting to my soul…ok, now that you think I’m a total weirdo, let’s move on to today’s project, which is fantastic!!! It features the Patterned Pumpkins thinlits set, Painted Autumn designer paper, and a neat burlap textured embossing paste technique. Check out my video below for details on how to make this card!
So about that burlap textured embossing paste technique…do you see the texture in the background on the white cardstock? That’s what I’m talking about. I did that with our new embossing paste and a piece of burlap fabric. What do you think about it? Do you like it, or is it too rustic and messy for your taste?
I think the layering on this card is fantastic, and the Patterned Pumpkins thinlits are perfect for this sort of hodge podge, layered look.
Like I already mentioned, I made the die cuts with the Painted Autumn designer paper. I stamped a few pumpkins and gourds onto the paper with the Pick a Pumpkin stamp set, and then used the Patterned Pumpkins thinlits to cut them out. The ‘Fabulous Friend’ piece was made with the Banners For You stamp set and Bunch of Banner thinlits.
Ok, are you ready to see the video on how to make this card? Here it is!
