Today is a balloon celebration kind of day! I’m hoping that before the day is over that I really am wanting to celebrate. Here’s why…we are potty training. This is round two of potty training. Round one was in September. The moral of that story was that little one learned to ‘hold it’ and at that point she refused to pee on the potty. Refused. She would pee anywhere else, but not on the potty. Fast forward four months and here we are. Today is day 6 of round 2 of potty training. We finished yesterday on a positive note, but today has not gone so well. I feel like I’m ready to lose my mind. Does anyone relate or remember the horror of trying to teach a small independent body that they really don’t need diapers for the rest of their life?
So anyway, you’re probably more interested in today’s project than endeavors involving bodily waste, so let’s move along. Here is the birthday card that I made with Stampin’ Up’s brand new Balloon Celebration stamp set and coordinating Balloon Bouquet punch.
I decided to go a little less girly than normal with my color choices. I used Mint Macaron, Marina Mist and Smoky Slate. To get the lighter colored balloons, I stamped off on scrap paper before stamping onto the card.
A baker’s twine bow was perfect to ‘tie’ the balloons together.
