April 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit Contents
As usual, this month’s kit included the card bases, envelopes, die cuts, ink, stamps, adhesives, and embellishments to make all of these cards. The materials will make 9 cards if made the way the instructions show.
Now let’s take a look at the projects I created!
Kit Projects
Below are the three card designs shown on the kit instructions. Two of the three are Z fold cards, and there are enough materials to make three of each design.
Here you can see all three of the designs opened up.
Next let’s take a look at the alternative ideas I came up with.
Alternative Ideas
Simple Changes
For this card, I basically just changed the location of the die cuts. Easy!
Cutting Card Bases
For the next few cards, I took the printed card bases and cut them into pieces to use on additional card bases. This helps the kit materials go further and make more cards.
In the photo below, I took the card base for the card at the top, and cut on the score lines to create one large panel and two smaller panels. I created the card at the lower left using the large panel. Using the two smaller panels, I used a 4 1/4″ x 11″ card base, scored 2 3/4″ from each end to create the gate fold card shown at the lower right.
In addition, I cut one of the moon and stars card bases in half to get one piece with the moon and one with the sun. I created the two cards at the bottom with the pieces.
Fun With Fussy Cutting
I created this card by fussy cutting the flowers and leaves from the back panel of the card. I attached the front panel to a piece of black cardstock for the back, then pieced the fussy cut pieces to make pretty artwork.
Extra Die Cuts
Since I created the cards above without die cuts, I had lots of die cuts to play around with! I created the cards below using these pieces.
Getting Creative
Watch along with the video to see how I created these next two cards. I created a Double Z fold card…
…and this simpler version of a shaker card.
I had so much fun creating these cards. Sign up to get next month’s Paper Pumpkin kit here!
