It’s Thursday ya’ll! The weekend is almost here! I have a big weekend ahead, as my husband and I are hosting a hogroast on Saturday evening. Since I moved, we wanted a reason to invite my friends and family to come see the new home, as well as to invite the locals over. We’ve been working on house, yard, and barn projects trying to get cleaned up and ready. I’m looking forward to it, but I’ll also be glad when things slow down next week! Well let’s take a look at today’s project – a Bloom and Grow card idea.
Do you ever make a craft project that you just don’t like? I definitely have these moments. The entire time I was making this, it was a struggle and I wasn’t feeling it. I just didn’t like how everything was coming together until it was completely done. At that point I decided it was alright. Then after I took photos and looked at them, I finally decided I really like this card! Wow it’s been a rollercoaster getting to that point!!
Let’s talk about how I made the different parts of the card. I made that amazing flower cluster using the Stampin Up Bloom and Grow stamp set and Budding Blooms dies. I stamped it using Versamark ink, then embossed with white embossing powder onto watercolor paper. Next I used an aqua painter to add color. The ink colors I used on the flowers were Blueberry Bushel, Blackberry Bliss, Calypso Coral, and Old Olive. I cut out the greeting and mat with our new Stitched Nested Labels dies which are my new FAVS! They’re just so versatile! That gorgeous blue watercolored print in the background is from our Perennial Essence designer paper pack. I pulled everything together with Calypso Coral accents and a few sequins!
Let’s take a look at the products I used. Here is the Bloom and Grow stamp set along with the Budding Blooms dies, which are available together as a bundle for 10% off.
And here is the Perennial Essence designer paper. This is one of the most gorgeous paper packs I have ever seen!
