Can you believe it is the middle of August already? Wow, the summer flew by. This past Wednesday, my baby girl started kindergarten. I didn’t realize how hard it was going to be for me! I knew I was going to cry, but I felt like a pile of emotions for the entire day. She’s been my partner in crime, and for most of her life it was just the two of us vs. the world. We’re a team, and now she’s leaving me! She is so excited for school and I’m so happy for her. I’m extremely impressed by all the teachers and staff at her school, and I feel like she is in wonderful hands. Regardless of the fact that I’m sad in some ways, I’m so thankful to get to see her grow and mature. On that note, I have a give thanks card idea to share with you today, which I made with some of our new products in this year’s holiday catalog. Take a look!
I’m trying to create more simple stamping cards, which are great beginner projects or also when you’re short on time and want to get a card made up fast. This card is super easy to make!
The designer papers are from the Come To Gather designer paper pack in the 2019 Holiday Catalog. I cut the pumpkin print 3″ x 4″, and the print behind measures 3 1/8″ x 4 1/8″. I cut a narrow strip of gold glimmer paper that is 4 1/8″ long, and slid it in behind the prints. The ‘give thanks’ stamp is from the Gather Together stamp set, and I used the Triple Banner Punch to create the cute little banner.
