A Funny Goat Birthday Card

Are you ready for an amazing story? I have a hilarious tale to tell, and it relates to today’s funny goat birthday card that I made with our new Way To Goat stamp set. Read on, and I promise to give you a good chuckle.

First let’s talk about today’s card. Way To Goat is a stamp set in our new catalog that is getting a lot of attention. How could it not? Funny goats with adorable, sarcastic, and snarky greetings? It’s fantastic.

The phrases I used on these cards include, “I got you a cake…but I ate it,” and, ” Way to Goat! You’re the G.O.A.T. (Greatest of all time)” The set also includes a, “Happy Birthday You Old Goat,” stamp. Hahahahahaha. I know exactly who I’m sending that particular card to 🙂

I guess I better tell you my story now. Shortly after I recorded a video in my Facebook group showing how to make this card, I got a message from one of my college friends. She requested that I send her a goat card that said, “…but I ate it.” I thought she wanted the, “I made you a cake,” greeting on it too, but soon realized that was not the case. It was only supposed to say, “but I ate it.” Strange, right? Right. But there was a reason for the request. You see, one of our other college friends has something of a very successful funny farm including cattle, hogs, chickens, goats, and more animals than I can keep up with. The night before I made the video showing how to make this card, a goat had eaten said friend’s diamond out of her engagement ring. Oh. My. Goodness. And the friend who made the request wanted to send her this card saying, “but I ate it.” How. Perfect.
