Nested Die Technique

12 Sep

Welcome friends! I have a quick trick to share today for a fun way to use your nested shapes dies on your card projects. Let’s take a look.

Click for a nested die technique that will step up your cards, quickly and easily! Great way to use your nesting die sets!

Nested Die Technique Video

Watch along here to see today’s technique, or keep reading below.

Nested Die Technique

To try this technique yourself, prepare the focal point of your card. It can be something you stamp or a piece of designer series paper. Next, lay several nested shape dies on top, in the location you would like to highlight. Run this through your die cutting machine, and then remove the pieces.

How To Use The Pieces

Here’s where it gets fun. You can play around with the pieces you’ve cut and use them in various ways.

Here are a few ideas:

  • Pop up the center as well as alternating pieces
  • Pop up the center with two layers of dimensionals, and the next piece with one layer of dimensionals, then attach others directly to the card
  • Remove one or more pieces and don’t use them at all

Featured Cards & Stamps

Here you can see both cards that I created with this technique…

…and the stamps I used to create them. The card on the left uses the Stylish Shapes die set and the card on the right uses the Wildflower Designs set. Here you can also see the stamps that I used.

    Hello Anna;
just watched your nested die tutorial and stayed on to hear your “message”. You Go Girl!
God Bless You for your courage and saying what needs to be said.
The Holy Spirit absolutely was guiding you.
Please don’t be concerned by any negative responses, I truly believe they too are listening.
Thank you for your message…it was right.

Anna- this is your website. You can talk about anything you want- it’s their choice if they want to listen to it or not. I read the whole Bible a couple years ago and remember that passage too- that also surprised me- I would like to read it again as there is a lot to learn! I enjoy your sessions- keep up the good work and keep praising God!

Amen! When others find it offensive that I incorporate my faith into my business, I find it offensive that our world has taught people this is unacceptable. It’s been difficult for me but I know it’s a growing experience and I can inspire others not to be afraid to do the same. I’m planning to read the whole Bible this coming year because I agree, there’s so much I’m sure I’ve missed and I want to learn. I hope you have a blessed holiday season and new year!

I admire you Anna for obeying what the Lord has called you to do, speaking about spiritual things after the card lesson, even though it is a difficult thing to do for most of us. God will certainly bless you for it. I like your ideas for cards also. I already have a demonstrator locally. Thank you for all you do.
