Stampin Up Courage & Faith And A Simple Scoring Technique

29 Dec

Hi stampers! I have some gorgeous cards to share with you today that I created with one color of cardstock, one ink, one stamp set, and a simple scoring technique. Easy, right? I used the Stampin Up Courage & Faith stamp set, which is one of my current favorites. Let’s take a look and talk about this fun scoring technique!

Stampin Up Courage & Faith

Here’s the stamp set I used on today’s cards. It’s just lovely, isn’t it? The verses are so nice, and the flourishes are gorgeous!

Simple Scoring Technique

The simple technique I used on these cards was decorative scoring created with my scoring board. If you have the Stampin Up trimmer, which cuts as well as scores, you could try these ideas with your trimmer. There are so many ways to make decorative score lines. You can line up your paper in the corner to create straight score lines…

…or use a triangle template to line up your paper at an angle.

Here’s another template that I created. I used tape to hold this in place.

Here are several examples of patterns I created using score lines. Imagine the possibilities!

Now let’s take a look at the finished cards I created. Here are three unique designs…

…and for the next few, I also stamped coordinating envelopes. The flourish stamps included in the Courage And Faith set are perfect for decorating envelopes!

The cards pictured below were some I created for a card swap with my Sassy Stampers team members. Aren’t they just gorgeous? They were so easy to create because the products did all the work for me! I used a lovely embossing folder to create the background, and I’ll share it in the next section.

Here’s that embossing folder I mentioned. It’s called Lovely Linen, and it comes with a coordinating die set so you can cut out the embossed image if you desire.
