You’re Still A Spring Chicken

22 Aug

I have a fun card today made with the Stampin Up Hey Birthday Chick stamp set, and I hope you enjoy taking a look.

Cute Chicken Birthday Card Made With Stampin Up Hey Birthday Chick Stamp Set And Blends Alcohol Markers

I’ve started participating in stamping challenges, and it has been years since I have done this. I’m really enjoying it though! Creating stamping challenge cards – which I don’t create a video tutorial for – saves time for me but still allows me to share new ideas with you.

I created this card for CAS Colours & Sketches, The Color Throwdown, and Freshly Made Sketches challenges. The rules of the color challenges say not to enter in more than one color challenge, but they chose the same colors this week, so hopefully they’ll forgive me 🙂

This was the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches. The colors for both challenges were to use red, yellow and blue. I used Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade, and Pool Party for my card.

I stamped the chicken and balloons with Memento ink, then used my Stampin Blends markers to color them. I absolutely love the look of these markers. One note – I actually stamped off with the Memento ink onto scrap paper before stamping for my project, to lighten up the black lines a bit.

This is SO cute! I love how you popped up the center panel and then had the balloons coming from behind it. Perfect accent to the “spring chicken”! Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.

What a clever idea to make the balloons peek from behind the raised panel. This card is just adorable! Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches!

This is a great take on the sketch and I love the way the balloons peek from behind the diagonal to compliment the floating chicken – such fun! Thanks for sharing with us over at CAS Colours & Sketches this week!

Hey, Birthday Chic is just way to cute, I used it to make my husbands birthday card and my 11 year old nephews birthday card. So much fun can be had with this set. This is a fantastic sketch. Great job with the colors as well. Thanks for joining us this week at CC&S

The dimension on this card is so clever Anna. I’m not sure who would like to receive it but it would have to be someone you know well I think! Thank you for sharing at CAS Colours and Sketches – it’s lovely that you’re enjoying joining in with card challenges again 🙂 Vicky x
