Lip Balm Booklet – Day 7 of 12 Days of DIY Gift Ideas

29 Nov

Welcome to Day 7 of my 12 Days of DIY Gift Ideas! The ideas are still flowing over here and I’m excited to introduce you to this little DIY lip balm booklet. Isn’t it so cute?! Lip balm is a great gift to give especially during these winter months when our lips can really take a beating from all the cold weather. So, I’ve created a beautiful way to present and “wrap” this little gift to make it so much more special. Let me share with you how I created this lip balm booklet using just paper, adhesives, a few embellishments, and Stampin Up’s Poinsettia Petals bundle.

This lip balm booklet is cuteness-to-the max, and it makes a perfect stocking stuffer idea!

Lip Balm Booklet Video Tutorial

Below is a video showing exactly how to make this lip balm booklet. Watching along will be the easiest way to recreate this project yourself!

Lip Balm Booklet Instructions

This lip balm booklet is cuteness-to-the max, and it makes a perfect stocking stuffer idea!

First, prepare your materials according to the measurements below:

  • 2 pieces measuring 3 1/2″ x 5 3/8″, scored on the long side at 2 3/8″ and 3″
  • 2 1/8″ x 3 1/4″ designer paper
  • 2 1/8″ x 3 1/4″ white
  • 2 1/4″ x 3 3/8″ Early Espresso
  • 17″ ribbon

Next, cut and score each piece according to measurements given in the video.

Add ribbon between layers of cardstock and adhere with glue dots.  Next, adorn front and inside of card with designer paper, poinsettia die cuts and embellishments.

This lip balm booklet is cuteness-to-the max, and it makes a perfect stocking stuffer idea!

How cute is that? This idea is such a practical and simple gift, but presented in a beautiful package. Stay tuned tomorrow for Day 8 of my 12 Days of DIY Gift Ideas. *Hint* This gift will “light” up your life!
