Use Those Paper Scraps With This Simple Card Design

15 Oct

Raise your hand if you have a lot of paper scraps.  For those of us who craft on a regular basis, it’s pretty common to end up with a ton of scraps in your paper collection.  If you are like me, you hate to throw them away and waste those pretties that could be used on fun projects. Today I have a simple paper scrap card to share with you, and I hope it will help you to use up some of those scraps!

Materials

First, I gathered long strips of paper for this card, but you could use this same idea with other shapes of scraps. Next, I cut a piece of 4″ x 5-1/4″ white cardstock to attach the scraps onto. I began attaching the strips by starting with four scraps in the center, each at a 90 degree angle to the next.  From there I worked my way outward to fill in the gaps with remaining strips. After the cardstock was covered in strips, I trimmed off pieces that hung over the edge of the white cardstock. I attached this piece to the shaded spruce card base, and lastly I added a cute tag made with A Merry Hello stamp set.
