Try This To Stamp Anything On Dark Cardstock!

White Embossing Technique

Stamping onto dark card stock is simple with heat embossing. Simply stamp your image with Versamark ink, sprinkle white embossing powder over the top, and set it with your heat tool.

After you have done this, you are free to try some extra techniques or leave it as is. Let’s take a look at a few samples.

These are the stamps I used to create today’s cards. I just love them and thought they were perfect for this simple technique.

1. White Embossing

Creating a card like this is simple. Just emboss your image and leave it as is.

2. Embossing Plus A White Pencil

For this card, I embossed with white and then colored a few of the images with a white watercolor pencil. I did add small touches of color over the top of the white.

3. White Pencil With Added Color Over Top

On this card after I colored with white pencil, I added additional color with other pencils. It’s a great way to be able to color with pencils on darker colors of cardstock.

4. Embossing With Watercolor Wash

As you can see, I used white cardstock for this card instead of a dark color. First I did my embossing, then I did a watercolor wash over the top using water painters.
