Learn To Make Handmade Cards #2 – Card Kits

15 Apr

If you’re interested in learning to make cards, you’re in the right place! I’ve been sharing info on how to get started with cardmaking, and I’ve started a video series to help. Today’s video talks about a great way to get started making cards, using card kits. This is a perfect way to start building up supplies in your stamping collection and to make cards without having to purchase a large collection of supplies all at once.

Learn To Make Cards With Card Kits - Perfect for Beginning Cardmakers

There are two types of kits that I recommend for anyone looking to learn to make cards. The first is Paper Pumpkin, and the second is our group of all-inclusive kits.

Paper Pumpkin is a subscription kit that can be ordered one time, a few times, or can be signed up for to receive it monthly until you decide to change your subscription. It includes all of the stamps, ink, and paper to make a really cute project. More often than not, the project is cards, but occasionally they throw in another type of project like home décor or treat containers (often for Halloween and Valentine’s Day). It’s a fun surprise to receive this box in the mail, and I always enjoy making this pre-planned project where most of the work is done for me!

Stampin Up also offers a collection of all-inclusive kits that, as stated in the name, are all-inclusive. That means they include the stamps, ink, and paper to make the projects. One difference from the Paper Pumpkin program is that these kits can be ordered anytime and will be shipped within a day or two, whereas Paper Pumpkin always ships around the 15th of the month. In addition, you can see exactly what comes in these kits and choose to order your favorites. If interested, we also have other types of kits available that are not considered all-inclusive. You can take a look at them as well if you like.

Here is the video I put together to show a Paper Pumpkin kit and the Notes of Kindness all-inclusive kit and how to assemble cards from them:
