Hacks For Saving Time When Stamping And Die Cutting!

1 Jan

I love sharing tips and tricks for making your crafting experience easier and more fun! Today I’m sharing hacks for saving time when stamping and die cutting. These tips are awesome, and they can allow you to create card designs you might not be able to accomplish otherwise. I’m using a brand new stamp and die bundle called Joyful Squares, and I have a ton of card designs to share. Let’s get started!

Hacks For Saving Time When Stamping And Die Cutting!

Stamping And Die Cutting Hacks Video

Watch along here to see today’s tricks in action!

Stampin Up Joyful Squares Bundle

Here you can see the stamp and die bundle I used to create today’s cards. It has a nice blend of greetings and decorative elements that were perfect for sharing today’s tips.

Stamping And Die Cutting Hacks

Let’s talk about today’s tips!

1. Create Multiple Die Cuts On White Cardstock, Stamp Afterwards

Hacks For Saving Time When Stamping And Die Cutting!

This tip allows you to save tons of time! First, layer two layers of cardstock on your stamping platform (ONLY if your machine allows two layers to feed through and you’re comfortable cranking it.) Next, fill it full of an assortment of die cuts you plan to stamp an image onto. Cut them and remove them. Repeat as many times as desired. Next, place one of the ‘trash’ cardstock pieces from the negative space on your stamping platform. Use it to align your stamps in the correct places for each die cut. Use this to stamp your pieces in a flash!

2. Circle Stamping

This is an awesome tips for creating beautiful, circle-shaped images with one small stamp. First, choose one small stamp you want to turn into a circle image. Cut a piece of cardstock approximately 2 1/2″ to 3 1/2″ on each side. Create a template on scrap paper by tracing a square, turning it at an angle and tracing it again. Lay your square of cardstock onto the template. Place the stamp in position for your first stamp, and attach it to the clear plate. Ink and stamp it one time. Then rotate your cardstock to align with the template, stamping each time until the image is complete.

3. Stamping Corners

To stamp the same image in the corners of one of your card elements, align the stamp and attach it to your clear plate. Stamp one time, then rotate the cardstock and stamp again. This works with all four corners on a square piece of cardstock, or two opposite corners on a rectangular piece.

4. Stamping Halves

The Joyful Squares stamp set includes a stamp that is designed to be used by stamping it twice to create a square, so I used a similar technique as that mentioned above to stamp both halves. Simply align on one side of the cardstock, then rotate and stamp again.

These tips likely make much more sense when you watch along with the video!
