Today I have another sneak peek of products that will be in the upcoming Occasions catalog. My normal style is girly, pink, purple and sparkly with flowers, but the new Going Places products pushed me out of my comfort zone a little bit – in a good way! I was given these products during my trip to the Stampin’ Up! Home Office last month, and it’s the first chance I have had to play with them!
It is always so hard (for me at least) to make cards that are appropriate for men. This product collection makes it extremely easy to make masculine cards. Here is the one I put together to share with you today.
I absolutely love the black and white. There are other colors in the Going Places designer paper pack such as greens, blues and yellows, but they are all very masculine. The two bottom layers on this card which look like maps are from the designer paper pack. I created the three upper layers using stamps from the Going Global stamp set.
I did add just a little sparkle to it, even though it is very masculine. I thought the silver thread and silver dazzling details accents added nice touches that aren’t too girly.
Below is a card I got to make while at the Stampin’ Up! Home Office using the same product suite. The main addition in the card below is the background that was created with the World Traveler embossing folder. I just love it!
