Brick Wall Scrapbook Page

10 Jul

I’ve been posting a lot of card ideas lately, so it’s time for something different! When I ordered the new embossing folders from our 2015-2016 Annual Catalog, I was expecting them to be similar to our old ones. When they arrived, I was excited to see that they are larger – 6″ x 6″ to be exact. At this size, it’s easy to make 12″ long embossed pieces by running the paper through the Big Shot just two times. I was a scrapbooker long before I began making cards, so I’m always excited to have fun new scrapbooking toys.

The Brick Wall embossing folder is one of these new, larger embossing folders. I thought it would be perfect to make a brick wall scrapbook page.

To make the brick wall, I started with a 6″x12″ piece of Sahara Sand cardstock. Emboss one end of the cardstock, then remove the embossing folder and paper from the Big Shot, move the embossing folder to the other end of the paper and emboss a second time. Be careful to flip your paper around after you emboss it the first time, not over or the pattern will end up being reverse.

I added the vine using the leaf stamp from Kinda Eclectic and some Itty Bitty Accent punch flowers. The sentiment is from our fantastic new Watercolor Wings stamp set.

We have another new embossing folder that is also 6″x6″ in size. It’s called Fluttering and it features beautiful butterflies. Check them out!
