I’ve really been enjoying participating in the TGIF Challenges lately. If you haven’t stopped by their website, check it out here. Today is my first color challenge and I’m loving the color combination of Blackberry Bliss, Island Indigo and Smoky Slate. I wish I had come up with this combination myself because it’s pretty amazing. Actually now that I’ve looked at these colors together for a while, I think it’s my dream to have my bedroom be these colors someday. Wouldn’t you sleep well surrounded by these colors?
I decided to make a Bohemian Borders birthday card. I thought the Bohemian Borders stamp set would look fantastic in these colors, possibly because our new Bohemian paper pack is in similar colors.
Using these funky border stamps straight across horizontally sounded boring, so I used them diagonally and gave them jagged edges instead of lining up at the same starting point. I liked the result.
The greeting is from the Amazing Birthday stamp set. I colored the stamp with Stampin’ Write markers rather than inking it on an inkpad so that I could make it all three colors.
