Happy Presidents’ Day! I know Valentine’s Day has passed, but I just have to share an idea for special treats you can make anytime, for wedding favors, or next Valentine’s Day if you like! I offered to make treats for my daughter’s class Valentine’s Day party at school, and after him-hawing around for a while about what to take, we decided on chocolate-dipped strawberries. YUM! We got to work dipping the berries, and planned to make enough for both her class and our family as well. I wanted a way to package the ones for our kids, Matt, and his parents, and at some point I remembered I had some of our heart foil tins leftover. It seemed like the perfect thing to hold our beautiful berries!
Kelsey helped me dip the berries, then we melted white chocolate chips in a Ziploc bag by placing it in hot water for a few minutes. Then I cut off the tiniest bit from one corner of the bag, and we used it for the white drizzle over the top. Here is the professional at work!
After the berries were done, we decorated the heart tins by stamping ‘Happy Valentine’s Day’ from the Heartfelt stamp set, then used the two punches from the Heart Punch Pack to punch them out along with some silver glimmer paper. So cute…and those berries are so delicious!
We will only have these heart tins available through this spring, so you may want to stock up on some for your future special occasions! You can bake cupcakes, mini cheesecakes, or other treats in them, or simply fill them with candy or other special items! They would make awesome wedding favors as well. Regardless of what you put in them, your loved ones are bound to love receiving these as gifts!
