Don’t forget, Stampin Up has a designer paper sale that expires on Friday! Many of your favorite designer paper packs are 15% off right now, so now is the time to stock up. For today’s project, I’m going to show you how to make this beautiful paper scrap panel card using Stampin Up’s Playing with Patterns designer series paper. Let’s take a look!

Use up some of the paper scraps in your collection with this paper scrap panel card! It is a perfect simple stamping project that comes together in minutes!

Scraps Galore

Whether it’s cardstock or pieces from my designer series papers, I always have a bunch of paper scraps left over from my projects. And I don’t know about you, but I don’t like throwing away my scraps – like, at all! So, I’m going to show you how you can use your paper to its fullest potential by making a paper scrap panel card!

Oh, and if you’re interested in learning how to organize all those scraps, click HERE!

Another Sample of a Paper Scrap Panel Card

Here’s another example of a paper scrap panel card using leftovers from Stampin Up’s Forever Greenery designer series paper. Such gorgeous prints, aren’t they?

Ok, let’s talk about what you’ll need to make this card!

Materials

Here’s a list of materials I used to make this paper scrap panel card.

  • Playing with Patterns designer series paper
  • Ridiculously Awesome Stamp Set
  • Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set
  • Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder
  • Card base measuring 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ folded in half
  • 3 – pieces of designer paper (I used Playing with Patterns) measuring 1 1/4″ x 3″
  • 3 – pieces of cardstock measuring 1 3/8″ x 3 1/8″
  • Cardstock measuring 4″ x 5 1/4″ for the inside
  • Tag for greeting
  • Flowers For Every Season Gems
  • Adhesives

Instructions

Let’s get started making this paper scrap panel card!

First, emboss your card base with the Tasteful Textiles embossing folder. This adds texture and dimension to your card.

Next, mat the three designer series paper pieces to the three strips of cardstock using adhesive. Place the matted paper strips on the card base – play around with placement of each strip to see where you want them! Adhere the three matted designer paper strips to the card base using dimensionals.

I used a stamp from Stampin Up’s Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set to create the greeting, and I attached it using glue.

Next come the embellishments. Place a few dots of multipurpose glue on the front of the card and drop the gems right on the glue dots! Tip: I found tweezers are the easiest way to grab gems.

VIOLA! Now you have a beautiful and fun paper scrap panel card made from leftover strips of your designer series paper! Woohoo, no waste here!
