Blast From the Past! Watermelon Paint Play

11 Aug

It’s my first Blast From the Past post! I’ll start sharing Blasts From the Past occasionally, to highlight some fun projects of yesterday or even yesteryear. For my inaugural Blast From the Past post, what better project to share, than my first EVER blog post?! Here it is!image

What a great summer-y card! This is a ramped up version of a card we recently made at my official Stampin’ Up Kick Off party. I had 17 lovely ladies come and we had a great time. Stamping is just so FUN!

This card features our new Work of Art stamp set which in my opinion is amazing. Because of the general shapes that are included, you are not limited by specific images and you are left to use your own creativity to see what you can create! Of course you can always ‘borrow’ ideas too… I mean really, who doesn’t?

Isn’t this watermelon adorable? I think that was maybe the third card I actually made as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator. I hadn’t done a whole lot of this stamping stuff before becoming a demonstrator, so I jumped in head first. The stamp set that I used to make this card is no longer available, so I found a similar set that could be used to make fantastic watermelons. It’s called Paint Play, and you can see it below.

Stampin' Up! Paint Play

Try out making this card with the Paint Play stamp set and see how it goes. If you do, make sure to send me some pics! I would love to see them!
