7 Days of Holiday Catalog Sneak Peeks – Day 1 Christmas Quilt

29 Jul

Hi everyone! I’m still winding down from the amazing Stampin’ Up! incentive trip to Thailand a few weeks ago. One of the many wonderful things about the trip was that Stampin’ Up! showered us with not-yet-released products from the upcoming 2018 Holiday Catalog! How cool is that, that I got to be one of the first people to bring them home and play with them?! I don’t want to keep all of the fun to myself, so I decided to do the ‘7 Days of Holiday Catalog Sneak Peeks,’ so that I can share some of these amazing new products with you. Today is Day 1, and I’m sharing a Christmas Quilt card that I made with our Quilted Christmas Suite of products.

Isn’t this lovely? I mean, what says ‘Christmas from the heart’ like a quilt? Let me try to explain how I made the lovely quilted piece. I started with a piece of white cardstock, and I stamped the quilt design onto it in gray. You can’t see the gray image because it eventually got covered up with the red quilt die cut. Using the gray design as a guide, I stamped the appropriate stamps to fill in the quilt using Pool Party and Blushing Bride inks. Then I used the Quilt Builder framelits to cut out the red quilt outline, and attached it on top of the white cardstock.

There are more coordinating products to go with the Christmas Quilt bundle – stitched felt embellishments, an embossing folder, cardstock, and some beautiful designer series paper. You can see a snippet of the dsp right behind the quilt on my card.

I also used our brand new Everyday Label punch in the bottom right corner. I already know it is going to become a staple in my crafting regimen.

I cannot wait to play around with this set more and see what I can make. I’m dreaming of more Christmas quilts, everyday quilts, and even barn quilts! Sigh…

This was the first bundle I put in my pre-order this month.. I haven’t played with it yet.. I have quilting friends that will love these cards. Thanks for sharing your ideas for this stamp set. Pool Party and Blushing Bride made a pretty combo.
