Welcome! I tried something new on the cards I’m sharing with you today, and I’m really excited to show them to you. I decided to play around with using window sheets, and I’ll be sharing about how to make a floating card that gives the illusion of a clear card front. Let’s take a look at them.

How To Make A Floating Card
The idea with making a floating card is basically to attach a piece of acetate window sheet to the front of your card base, either popped up with foam dimensionals, or as a separate piece to serve as the card front itself.
Let’s take a look at some examples. Keep in mind the clear flaps are difficult to see in pictures! Make sure to watch along with the video to see the real effect!
For this card, I popped up a piece of window sheet right on top of my card base. Then I decorated it with these lovely flower die cuts.

I wanted to create a peek through on this card, so I used a die to cut through the card front before adding a piece of window sheet on top.

For this card, I actually created a separate flap made of window sheet. The window sheet lifts open and then the card front itself lifts, before viewing the inside of the card. Make sure to take a look at the video to see this!

The stamp and die set that I used to create these cards is called Forever Floral. You can view it using the link below. Isn’t it stunning?!
