Stampin’ Up! Blessed Beginnings – White On White Cards!

2 Apr

Welcome and thanks so much for being here today. I’m excited about today’s projects even though they may sound really boring. We are looking at ALL WHITE cards that I made with the Stampin’ Up! Blessed Beginnings bundle! White on white on white. That’s what we’re doing today! Let’s take a look.

Video Tutorial

Watch along here as I create these lovely white cards!

Featured Stamps – Blessed Beginnings

Here is the stamp and die set that I used to create today’s cards. I like the sweet little church and the nice greetings as well. I love that it includes stamps for weddings and Easter, and especially a stamp for baptism! It’s hard to find baptism stamps.

Card Samples

Let’s take a look at the cards. For the first card, I did some decorative scoring in the background before adding the other elements. You can get more ideas for decorative scoring here. After I had scored the background, I added some Wood Textured Specialty Paper at an angle. I created the greeting tag by embossing the sentiment with white embossing powder. Then I use two little punches from the Three Banner Punch behind it to create some interest.

My second card has a bit more detail. I used the Exposed Brick embossing folder and tore the edges of the cardstock for the background. I created die cuts with the Blessed Beginnings die set. To stamp the church with the light color, I inked the stamp with Smoky Slate ink, then I stamped onto scrap paper before stamping onto my die cut. I thought this was a good way to show the stamp detail without having to use heat embossing.

Do you think creating a card with all one color is a technique you will use? You could try this with any stamps and dies – flowers, leaves, trees, balloons…you name it! Any color too!

Your cards are interesting and special. I particularly like white on white – especially for weddings. Thank you for giving examples of your creative ideas in these cards.
