Try These Awesome Ways To Use Your Shape Dies!

Welcome stampers! I have a favorite new set of dies called Stampin Up Branching Out, and I was looking for a reason to use it. I decided to put together a tutorial of ideas filled with creative ways to use shape dies. Take a look below!

As mentioned, I used a die set called Branching Out, which you can see below. I love this nice set.

Keep in mind, you can use the techniques I’m sharing with other shapes like circles, squares, rectangles, and tags.

Awesome Ways To Use Your Shape Dies

Here are several ways to use your lovely shape dies. 

1. As A Card Base

To do this, just fold your cardstock in half and lay the die on top to cut it. Just make sure the edge of the die hangs slightly off the edge where the fold is, to leave it intact. 

2. Create A Window Card

Cut an opening in the front of your card base, add a piece of acetate window sheet to fill it in, then add smaller shape dies to decorate the center.

3. Cut Them All Out & Use As Frames

Lay all the dies on your platform at one time, and crank through to create a lot of frames at one time!

4. Stamp & Cut Them All

Stamp the front of your card, then lay all the dies on top and cut them out. Pop up some pieces and attach some directly to the card for a unique three dimensional effect. 

Keep in mind, you can also do this technique with patterned paper, instead of creating the artwork with stamps.

5. As A Fun Fold Flap

Create a shape, then attach it to your card base to make a fun fold flap.
