Welcome friends! I’m so glad to have you visiting. In the past I’ve shared several techniques you can use with embossing folders and embossed paper, and today I have another one for you to try. It’s called the ink dragging technique and it’s extremely simple. Let’s take a look at it.

Ink Dragging Technique Instructions
This technique is so simple. First you need an embossed piece of paper. Then you’ll need to hold an ink pad in your hand with the ink surface facing downward. Gently ‘drag’ the pad across the raised portion of the paper, and as you do this, ink will be transferred to the raised portions of the paper.

Tips For Ink Dragging
You may experience getting too much color in areas you don’t want it. To avoid this, use a lighter color of ink or an ink pad with less ink in it. If it seems like your ink pad has too much ink, you can also try this handy trick.
Featured Stamps – Stampin Up Peace On Earth
Here’s a lovely stamp and die bundle that I used to create a card with this technique. It has such nice greetings for a variety of occasions, even though at first glace it appears to be only for the holiday season. My favorite part about this set is the label dies that coordinate with a beautiful embossing folder. You’ll see how I used them below.

Here’s a beautiful card I created using the Peaceful Greenery embossing folder and Peace On Earth stamps and dies.
